Item #LMID-1096 customer reviews: WARNING - HAZADOUS TO TODDLERS I purchased this product for my two year old granddaughter to assist her in learning her ABC's. When I received the product, I noticed a warning label stating the product is a "choking hazard" and not suitable for children under 3 years of age. I should have been advised of this beforehand! I am very disappointed! The letters have a small magnet attached to the back which could come loose and be swallowed. I don't feel this product is safe for any young child under the age of twelve! not for a child under 5 years old HORRIBLE TOY POSES A GREAT CHOKING HAZARD TO A CHILD.AND IT'S NOT JUST CERTAIN LETTERS IT IS ALL OF THEM.THE ITEM DESCRIPTION ISN'T VERY HELPFUL IN KNOWING THE SIZE OF THESE LETTERS BUT THEY ARE VERY SMALL.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WITH A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 5 YEARS OLD. Letters don't stick on straight I have this alphabet set. My 3-year old likes it fine. Some of the letters don't hang straight, though. This is due to the position of the magnets on a few of them. Particularly the letter B and O that I've noticed. The magnet is on the side of the letter instead of the top, so it tends to fall over and hang from the side. Also, since there are 36 letters included, there is an odd amount of some letters, obviously. It doesn't seem to be very logical, though. I was a bit disappointed to find my package contained four A's, but only one of each other vowel, an extra G and some other odd letters. Otherwise it is an okay set for the price. Fridge letters rock! They are still cool, if somewhat flimisier than the ones I used 30 years ago. Great colors and fun whether she is trying to eat them or I use them to teach her new words. magnets are weak... magnets are weak and letters are not in proper format. The "I" can be mistaken for a lower case "l".
